The webcam recorder (and the screen MediaRecorder path used on Linux and fallbacks) kept every chunk in a renderer array and built one Blob and one ArrayBuffer from all of them on Stop. Blob.arrayBuffer() fails above 2 GiB (NotFoundError at 2.3 GB, never settles at 4.6 GB in Electron 43), and the webcam onstop swallowed the error, so a webcam track longer than about 36 minutes at 8 Mbit/s was lost without a message. Each chunk is now appended to a file in the main process as it arrives (open/append/close/discard-recording-file-stream). Close runs the same finalizeStoredVideo step as store-recorded-video, and WebM files get their duration written with the bundled ffmpeg. If the file cannot be opened, the recorder keeps the chunks in memory and stores them the old way. If a chunk cannot be written, the part on disk is kept and the recording is reported as failed. Streams are closed when the owning renderer crashes, is destroyed or reloads, so the part already written stays on disk. Refs webadderallorg#1139

- A failed close (write error or rename) now returns the path of the part that was written, so the failure message can point at it. - WebM post-processing can no longer fail a save; on any error, including a missing ffmpeg, the file is kept as written. - An open that started before its page went away is closed even when the new page is already watched (one token per watch instead of a flag). - A failed webcam save shows an error toast instead of only a log line.

If finalizeStoredVideo throws after the stream was closed, the file is on disk but the old catch-all response dropped its location. finalizeKeepingPath returns the path with success: false.

Description
The webcam recorder, and the screen
MediaRecorderpath used on Linux and as a fallback, push every chunk into an array in the renderer. On Stop they build oneBlobfrom all chunks, callarrayBuffer()on it and send that buffer to main throughstoreRecordedVideo. This PR sends each chunk to main as it arrives and appends it to the file there:
open-,append-,close-anddiscard-recording-file-stream(electron/ipc/recording/recordingFileStreams.ts). Close runs the samefinalizeStoredVideostep asstore-recorded-video.webmDuration.ts), sincefixWebmDurationneeds the whole blob in memory.src/hooks/recordingFileWriter.tswraps this for the hook. Chunks are written one at a time, in order. If the file can't be opened, it keeps the chunks in memory and the hook stores them the old way, so nothing gets worse on a failure.Motivation
Blob.arrayBuffer()fails once the blob passes 2 GiB. I checked this in Electron 43.1.0 (the version inpackage.json) with a harness that records the same way the hook does, with VP8 at 40 Mbit/s and a 250 ms timeslice:arrayBuffer()worksarrayBuffer()rejects after 97 ms withNotFoundErrorarrayBuffer()never settles (waited ~4 h)The webcam
onstopcatches that error, logs it and resolves the webcam path asnull. So the editor opens without the webcam and the user isn't told. AtWEBCAM_BITRATE = 8_000_000that happens after roughly 36 minutes. With this PR the renderer stayed around 100 MB for a 2 GB recording (it was 378 MB at Stop on the old path), and the resulting file decodes without errors in ffmpeg.
This isn't what crashed the HUD at 73 minutes in #1139. Holding 4.6 GB of blobs didn't crash the renderer in my harness, because Chromium pages blob data to disk. The crash is Chromium's MP4 muxer hitting 4 GiB, which #1143 fixes. This PR still matters for that case: when the renderer dies, the webcam file written up to that point stays on disk instead of being lost with the renderer's memory.
Type of Change
Related Issue(s)
Part of #1139 (items 1 and 2 of the suggested fix). Items 3 and 4 (Stop after a HUD crash) are #1145, and the crash itself (MP4 muxer at 4 GiB) is #1143, which is stacked on this one.
