1. Old nav restored

• Where the box came from: commit 968a5bf (Oct 8, "Boxed nav, new stats layout…") put the nav in a floating box with the 3px dark purple border. It also made the phone menu a matching box.
• The fix: the header component never changed in that commit, so this undoes its CSS.
  • The header is a full-width white bar again, now with a 1px light line under it.
  • The phone menu drops down full width.
• "Get Involved" is a plain nav link, underlined when you're on /join, instead of a filled button.
• Unchanged: every link, the About and Learning Resources dropdowns, and the language picker.

2. Minimal pages

• Pages: Home, About, Projects (/research), Get Involved (/join) and Know Your Rights (/rights). /volunteer and /contact only redirect to /join.
• Layout: each page is one narrow column (680px) of text on white.
• Removed:
  • Home: the hero photo, the typing effect (it now shows the first phrase), the stat tiles, the campus photo cards, the follow-link tiles, the guide cards and the free-plan card.
  • About: the zoom slideshow, the photo grid, the pillar cards, the quote band and the call-to-action band.
  • Projects: the sticky track pills and the project cards.
  • Get Involved: the chapter cards and the role tiles.
• Kept:
  • All copy, as headings, paragraphs and lists. Stats read as "$1,100: Black men were quoted…".
  • The founder video, using the browser's standard player.
  • Both /join forms.
  • The anchors the nav uses: #mission, #story, #provide, #apply, #chapters, #contact.
• Design rules:
  • Purple only for links, the active nav item and one main button per page. On /join that's the application's submit button; the contact form's submit is dark.
  • Square corners, no shadows, no boxes around sections.
  • Headings are one color, and secondary text is full-strength dark purple at 16px.
  • No "actually" on any changed page; I removed two from the rights text.
• Know Your Rights (/rights): RightsPhoneDemo is replaced with the same content as plain text. That's the five federal laws, the FTC cooling-off carve-out, the nine states researched in detail, and the 50-state lemon-law summary for the rest. The law data moved to lib/rights-laws.ts.
• Deleted: components only these pages used. QuoteBand stays because the Inspection page uses it.

Team and Learning Resources untouched

• New styles are in app/minimal.css, scoped under .mn, which only the changed pages use.
• The diff has no file from /team, /inspection, /fraud, /documents or /map, their components, or the shared hero, call-to-action band, quote band or Rich components.
• The only change to the shared stylesheets is the header rules above.

Tested

• tsc, lint and build pass.
• No sideways scrolling on any changed page at 390px.
• Both /join forms submit end to end, run locally against a stub of Brevo's API:
  • Application: sent to the chapter lead with the résumé attached, plus the confirmation email. The chapter is preselected from ?chapter=berkeley.
  • Contact message: sent to getvindicated@outlook.com, plus the confirmation email.
  • Both forms show their success message.
• Before-and-after screenshots of every changed page at desktop and phone width were sent to Rana.

Update: header (rebased on main)

• Rebased on main with no conflicts. Nothing under /board and none of the Team or Learning Resources page files change.
• The boxed nav came from 968a5bf: a floating box with a 3px dark purple border and rounded corners. It's gone. The header is a full-width white bar with a 1px light line under it, and the phone menu opens full width.
• "Get Involved" is a plain nav link, not a filled button.
• The language picker is plain text with no bordered box, and it still switches the page's language (tested /en/team → /es/team).
• Links are in the brand purple only for the active page. Hover underlines in the normal text color.
• Every current link is kept: Home, About (5 sub-links), Team, Learning Resources (4 sub-links) and Get Involved.
