Background

When compression occurs for a grid, the height values of that grid are not representative of the actual height values between grids.

Description

Add a scaling function that can scale the height ranges of a grid from one range of values to another. For example

0 1
3 4

could be compressed to

-1 0.5
0.5 1

and vice versa
