Also backfills 8.1.2.01, which was tagged on 2026-08-28 without a CHANGELOG entry - its geometry-memory work (the inflated pixel array held twice over, which had taken down two production API pods) is worth a record, and leaving a hole between 8.1.1.01 and 8.1.3.01 would make the file misleading rather than merely incomplete. Contents were read from each merge's diff and commit body rather than its title.
