Summary

  • normalize MSI/Micro-Star, GIGABYTE, and Dynabook/Toshiba manufacturer strings for administrator-managed driver packages
  • add informational physical-platform labels and regression coverage for raw SMBIOS aliases
  • use exact Win32_ComputerSystem.Model matching only; do not assume an unverified SystemSKU source
  • document the capability boundary: no catalog scraping, consumer utility invocation, guessed switches, or firmware updates

Validation

  • Windows PowerShell 5.1 regression suite
  • recursive PowerShell parser check
  • PSScriptAnalyzer error gate
  • git diff --check

Normalize MSI, GIGABYTE, and Dynabook/Toshiba manufacturer strings for
administrator-managed driver packages. Add platform and normalization tests
while keeping catalog acquisition, vendor utilities, and firmware out of scope.
