I'm Daniel, a software engineer with 20+ years of experience. I do stuff with computers β these days mostly by teaching AI agents to do stuff with computers.
Since 2019 I've been working at DB Systel, the IT branch of Deutsche Bahn, helping to make public transportation better and cheaper to run. Chuu chuu! π π³ π My day job revolves around AWS, CDK, Ansible and infrastructure automation.
My current focus is AI tooling: I build SDKs, CLIs, MCP servers and skills that let agents work with real-world systems β from cloud infrastructure to my kids' school and learning apps. If a service doesn't have an API, I'll probably write one.
I'm born and living in Frankfurt π©πͺ, with 16 years in Berlin π©πͺ and 3 years in Udon Thani πΉπ in between. Married, 3 children.
My favorite language is Go, though I've learned to love TypeScript. Also worked with Rust, Python, Ruby, Swift, C++, C#, PHP and a bunch more.
