  My name is Muhammad Seif Al Din Baichoo, I'm 23 and a software engineer and I’m developing Aflah, an Islamic mobile app for Android and iOS for my local community.

• Your purpose in using this API:
  I would like to add a Hadith reader to Aflah, allowing users to browse the Books available on Sunnah.com. We intend to display Arabic text, translations, references, and available authenticity grading, preserving the supplied content and providing attribution to Sunnah.com. The API key will remain securely on our backend, not inside the mobile app.

• API rate limits:
  For our initial development and testing phase, we propose:

  • Maximum requests per second: 2
  • Maximum requests per day: 1,000
    We can adapt to your recommended limits and use caching where permitted.

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
  Programmatic API access would help us begin integration. An approved offline dataset would also be valuable because Aflah supports offline reading. Please clarify whether caching, downloading, and redistributing Hadith data within the app are permitted, along with any conditions.

• What are the languages in which you would like hadith data?
  Arabic and English initially. We would also appreciate French and Urdu if available.

• What programming language will your API client be in?
  Go for the server-side API client. Our Flutter application, written in Dart, will communicate with our backend.
