Your purpose in using this API: IDS publishes a free, non-commercial hadith reader with study notes. Our Sahih Muslim texts are numbered on a sequential per-chain scheme, so they do not line up with the reference numbering readers actually cite. We want to reconcile our copy to the sunnah.com reference numbers, including the letter suffixes, so that a reader who looks up "Sahih Muslim 145" reaches the right hadith and so that citations between collections resolve correctly.

Offline dump or API? An offline dump would suit us better. The task is a one-time reconciliation of reference numbers rather than continuous querying. Programmatic access would work as a fallback.
