• Your purpose in using this API:
  Deen Buddy, an Islamic Q&A tool that answers only from the Qur'an and Sahih
  hadith. Every claim carries a canonical reference (e.g. Sahih al-Bukhari 1)
  that links back to the hadith's page on sunnah.com so readers can verify it.
  The tool does not issue rulings; personal questions are referred to a scholar.
  I need the official data so reference numbers match sunnah.com exactly and
  every link opens the right hadith.

• API rate limits:

  • Maximum requests per second: 2
  • Maximum requests per day: 2,000 during a one-time initial import,
    then near zero (occasional re-sync)

• Is your use case better served by having an offline dump of hadith data or programmatic API access?
  An offline dump would suit me best. The corpus is imported once and indexed
  locally; there are no live per-user requests. API access works too if you
  prefer.

• What are the languages in which would you like hadith data?
  English and Arabic.

• What programming language will your API client be in?
  Python.
