Using the function Object.fromEntries in a wrong node version

Describe the bug
I'm trying to use the lib with node 10.16.0 and inside the lib engine.io is using the function "Object.fromEntries" but it doesn't work in this version of node. This lib should work using this node because its package.json says it should work in node >=10.2.0.

Hi! You are right, Object.fromEntries() was added in Node.js 12.

Following up on darrachequesne's confirmation — this is already fixed on main by ae7fb46 (fix(eio): restore compatibility with Node.js 10, merged 2026-07-24), which replaces the Object.fromEntries() usage on the Node 10 path. Suggest closing this issue as resolved. Thanks for the quick triage!
