Keyboard shortcuts

CoPanda leaves Ctrl+V to the app you're in and has three global shortcuts of its own: one opens the panel, and two paste the latest item without opening it. On a Mac the panel answers to Mac keys: ⌘ where Windows uses Ctrl.

You can also see this list inside the app, in Settings › Keyboard shortcuts.

From any app

Windows macOS What it does
Ctrl+V ⌘V Normal paste. CoPanda doesn't intercept it
Ctrl+Alt+V ⌃⌥V Open the panel
Alt+Shift+V ⌃⇧V Paste the latest item as plain text, without opening the panel
Ctrl+Alt+P ⌃⌥P Show the Paste as… card for the latest item

Paste as plain text pastes the latest item of your history (the one at the top of the panel) as text alone, without formatting. Text with formatting arrives as just the text; an image, as the text CoPanda read in it (if it has none, nothing is pasted); files, as their paths.

Paste as… shows a small card next to the pointer with the ways to paste the latest item, the same ones the panel's Paste as… sheet offers for it. What you choose lands where you were typing.

Changing the global shortcuts

Settings › Keyboard shortcuts › Anywhere, then Change on the line you want and press the new combination. Paste as plain text and Paste as… also have Remove, which leaves them Not set; Set assigns one again. Paste as copied is Ctrl+V itself and appears there only as a reminder.

If another CoPanda shortcut already uses the combination, CoPanda doesn't accept it and tells you. If another program already uses it, CoPanda tells you and suggests combinations that are free on your computer.

Note

In CopyPaste 2 the shortcut was Ctrl+Alt+C. In 3 it's Ctrl+Alt+V.
