fix(acp): expose Droid and Kimi skills in picker - #27963
Droid advertises skills as unprefixed ACP commands, while Kimi uses skill: names. The registry adapter classified only $-prefixed commands as skills, leaving the $ picker empty for Droid and misclassifying Kimi skills as slash commands.
This adds provider-specific command normalization and rewrites selected, catalog-validated skill mentions to each agent’s native invocation form. Other ACP providers and unknown $mentions are unchanged. ACP provider documentation is updated accordingly.
Validation: vp run check:changed passed; 47 affected tests passed, including new Droid/Kimi discovery and invocation regressions that failed before the fix. No live Droid turn was run.
Model: Kimi k3.1-pro. Harness: Kimi Code in T3 Code.
Macroscope's review found this PR approvable — Droid and Kimi skills become available in the picker, with leading skill mentions translated into each agent's native command syntax. The change is limited to advertised, enabled skills for those providers and leaves other providers unchanged.

Walkthrough
The ACP Registry now stores available-command catalogs by session and classifies Droid’s unprefixed commands and Kimi’s skill: commands as skills. For Droid and Kimi, the adapter can rewrite leading mentions of enabled skills to native command forms when commands are available.
The ACP adapter passes session IDs with available-command updates and text rewrites. The runtime coordinator stores catalogs by instance and session, retrieves the requested session’s catalog, and clears session catalogs with their instance. Tests cover separate catalogs for two sessions.
Normalization recognizes unprefixed Droid command names and Kimi skill: names as skills. For enabled skills, the adapter rewrites leading mentions to the provider’s native command form when commands are available. Tests and documentation cover these behaviors.

Explanation
The description covers the problem, expected behavior, implementation approach, linked issue, verification results, affected tests, and the limitation that no live Droid turn was run. It does not explicitly document maintainer approval or explain an approval exemption, but the focused bug fix and linked issue provide substantial scope context.

Explanation
Issue #27108 requires Droid's unprefixed advertised commands to appear in the $ skill picker. normalizeAcpRegistryCommands classifies commands for factory-droid as skills, and the adapter passes the registry agent ID during updates. rewriteAcpRegistrySkillMention rewrites enabled, catalog-validated skill mentions to Droid's native /name form. The added tests cover Droid discovery and invocation.
Full details: Out of Scope Changes check
Explanation
The changes remain connected to ACP command discovery and invocation. Kimi normalization and native invocation support match the current PR description and have focused regression tests. Session-specific catalog storage prevents command data from different ACP sessions from being mixed during these operations. Adapter integration, exports, and documentation support the same behavior. No unrelated change is demonstrated.

verified the kimi path at exact head ce65b0a55129c605c845eff289a37a14ed440a41, after reproducing the bug on github/main at 54c5f252. used repository playwright with /usr/bin/google-chrome, one background dev server at a time, and isolated state. created the git project and skill through the app with real codex gpt-6.1-sol turns.
on main, $ reported no skills while /skill:repo-summary appeared as a slash command. on this head, the same real skill appeared as Repo Summary in the skill picker. selecting and submitting it completed a real kimi turn that read the readme and git status. the native kimi event recorded kind=skill_activation, skillName=repo-summary, trigger=user-slash, proving native command activation.
used registry source kimi with its supported executable override pointing to official kimi code 2.4.1, and gpt-6.1-sol through this vm's existing local responses api proxy.
nearby checks passed: an unknown $unadvertised-pr27963 reached kimi unchanged and was echoed literally; /compact remained in the commands picker; a fresh codex gpt-6.1-sol turn on this head read the repository and returned the correct git status. the 22 existing focused probe/coordinator tests passed through blacksmith-check. ci reports 21 passed and 7 skipped checks, with no failures or pending checks. no source changes or pushes were needed.

selection, submission and completed provider response; idle waiting in the middle is cut:
droid skill discovery and invocation: installed factory droid 1.1.0 from the registry through the app, but its session probe timed out after 60 seconds and no model could be selected. its native log reports no authentication credentials available.
registry-pinned python kimi 1.52.0 with kimi oauth: that build required an account token even with custom model configuration, so the successful run used the supported 2.4.1 executable override described above.
native desktop/mobile clients, macos/windows, relay/tunnel connections, and separate-session skill catalogs with different skill sets were not exercised. /compact was inspected in the picker but not executed.
