An interrupted first install could lack a service-origin ownership record. Cross-host discovery now requires that record, and activation journals explicitly bind recovery to their origin, including hosts that share the same default directory. Legacy update journals retain recovery through their prior record; ambiguous legacy first installs remain preserved for operator recovery.

Release 0.4.2 keeps credentials, receipt formats and manager boundaries unchanged. All 61 client/lifecycle tests, validation, typecheck, template checks and build passed, including rejection before network access or replacement for a mismatched origin.
