No Go source code changes were required — the rebase compiled cleanly.

All verified locally inside a golang:1.26.0 container:

• go vet ./... — PASS
• golangci-lint run — PASS
• go test ./pkg/... — 16/17 packages PASS (1 pre-existing failure in pkg/controller/proxyconfig due to missing host CA bundle in container)
• Test compilation (go test -run='^$') — PASS
• k8s.io/* version consistency — all at v0.36.2
• vendor/modules.txt in sync with go.mod
• No deprecated API remnants introduced
• No CVEs in bumped dependencies (OSV.dev checked)
• k8s 1.36 changelog reviewed — no breaking changes affect this repo
• Independent antagonistic review — APPROVED
