The PR is actually huge and adds the following features, on top of a general redesign that should make the app cleaner:

  • unified search screen (search revision and emails from the same screen)

    • autocomplete, that keeps the last email searched as the first suggestion to make it easy to get your last try runs
    • unsigned apks are now shown in the results (unless a signed version of the same apk exists in the same try), with a warning and an explanation of how to trigger the signed jobs
    • infinite load allows you to fetch older results
    • the commit message should not show "try-triggering" commits anymore
  • downloads are now handled by a Work Manager to make sure your apk will be downloaded even if you leave the app while it's still in progress

  • if the apk installation fails because of a conflict with an existing app, you'll get a dialog that offers to uninstall the previous version first, and reinstall the new apk.

  • Home redesign:

  • 1 card per app, with buttons for each flavor. The button is highlighted if the app is installed on the device.

  • For a debug app installed from TryFox, it shows the commit message of the revision from which you installed it

  • Next to the "Installed" chip, an icon can help you identify if you installed the app from the PlayStore, TryFox, or sideloaded.
