Model: claude-opus-4.8
Overview
This is a Dependabot security bump of the transitively-required cryptography (48.0.1 -> 50.0.0, fixing the PKCS7 Bleichenbacher timing-oracle CVE-2026-69247) in a single vendored sample lockfile, python/samples/demos/mcp_with_oauth/server/uv.lock. The change is inert and well-scoped: cryptography is pulled only transitively via pyjwt[crypto] through mcp and is imported by no sample source, the sample authenticates with opaque random tokens plus RFC 7662 introspection rather than asymmetric JWT signing, and no workflow consumes this lockfile. All added artifacts remain sha256-pinned to PyPI/pythonhosted, and pyproject.toml is untouched. The only residual notes are Low-severity: cryptography 50.0.0 no longer ships prebuilt wheels for 32-bit Windows and Intel macOS (forcing a source build on those platforms), the lockfile revision advances 2 -> 3, and the monorepo's other locks still pin 48.0.1 - none of which is a publishable defect.
Reviewed the supplied pull-request change set across correctness, security/reliability, architecture, and failure behavior.
No publishable findings remained after source verification for this scope.
Bumps cryptography from 48.0.1 to 50.0.0.
