Summary

  • Recommend existing WinGet distribution instead of pursuing Microsoft Store publishing.
  • Lead with simple install and update commands, with an x86 option for 32-bit Outlook.
  • Correct portable archive names and explicitly locate MrMAPI and debugging symbols.
  • Clarify Outlook/MAPI requirements and mailbox-data safety guidance.

Validation

  • Verified the WinGet package ID, architectures, command alias, and release archive names against the published manifest.
  • Verified installed WinGet help supports the architecture option and update alias.
  • Documentation whitespace check passed with Markdown hard line breaks allowed.

Closes #560

Also documents MAPI-provider and Visual C++ runtime dependencies, including the remedy for a missing VCRUNTIME140_1.dll.

Closes #981
