Summary

On the LilyGo T-Echo Card, GPS_RF_EN (P0.29) powers the GNSS antenna LNA. initVariant() set it HIGH and never released it, so the LNA stayed powered even with GPS turned off.

  • GPS_RF_EN is now a RefCountedDigitalPin on TechoCardBoard. It is passed to MicroNMEALocationProvider as peripheral power, so it is claimed in begin() and released in stop(). This follows the same pattern as heltec_tracker and heltec_t1.
  • PIN_GPS_STANDBY is renamed to PIN_GPS_RF_EN to match LilyGo's pin name.
  • GPS_L76K is now defined, so the provider applies $PCAS04,7 (GPS + BDS + GLONASS).

LilyGo's reference firmware (T-Echo-Card examples/original_test) turns GPS on and off by driving GPS_WAKE_UP and GPS_RF_EN together.

All changes are in variants/lilygo_techo_card/.

Testing

  • LilyGo_T-Echo_Card_companion_radio_ble builds (RAM 62.6%, Flash 48.8%).
  • LilyGo_T-Echo_Card_repeater builds (RAM 14.4%, Flash 39.5%).
  • Flashed the companion BLE build to a T-Echo Card over USB DFU; it programmed and booted.
  • Verified on hardware: GPS gets a fix, and turning GPS off and on again works as expected.

- GPS_RF_EN (P0.29) drives the GNSS antenna LNA. It was set HIGH in
initVariant() and never released, so the LNA stayed powered while GPS
was off. It is now a RefCountedDigitalPin on TechoCardBoard, passed to
MicroNMEALocationProvider as peripheral power: claimed in begin(),
released in stop() (same pattern as heltec_tracker / heltec_t1).
- Rename PIN_GPS_STANDBY to PIN_GPS_RF_EN to match LilyGo's pin name.
- Define GPS_L76K so the provider applies $PCAS04,7 (GPS+BDS+GLONASS).

LilyGo's reference firmware (T-Echo-Card examples/original_test) turns
the GPS on/off by driving GPS_WAKE_UP and GPS_RF_EN together.
