Summary

Adds a "Dependency Update Process (Konflux)" subsection under the "Development Workflow" section in AGENTS.md (which CLAUDE.md symlinks to). This documents the complete multi-step checklist required when bumping or adding Python dependencies in the Konflux hermetic build environment.

Changes

  • AGENTS.md: Added 6-step dependency update checklist covering:
    1. Updating pyproject.toml with new version constraints
    2. Running uv lock to regenerate uv.lock
    3. Running scripts/konflux_resolve.py --profile cpu to regenerate .konflux/requirements*.txt files
    4. Verifying .tekton/*.yaml prefetch package lists match the updated dependency set
    5. Checking for dropped transitive dependencies
    6. Running uv run make verify for final validation

Motivation

PR #3035 required 7 commits over 2 days because the multi-file dependency update process was undocumented. Two additional PRs (#3048, #3053) were created by other developers to address the same underlying problem. This documentation gives both human developers and the code agent a systematic checklist to follow, reducing iterative CI fix cycles.

Testing

Documentation-only change — no code was modified. Verified CLAUDE.md symlink still correctly points to AGENTS.md.

Closes #3063

Post-script verification

  • Branch is not main/master (agent/3063-issue-3063-dependency-update-docs)
  • Secret scan passed (gitleaks — f86fe24eef178811a180c7d75b3f4aa1700e0eb5..HEAD)
  • PR body secret scan passed (gitleaks — no-git)
  • Final PR description secret scan passed (gitleaks — no-git)

Add a 'Dependency Update Process (Konflux)' subsection under
'Development Workflow' in AGENTS.md (which CLAUDE.md symlinks to).
This documents the complete multi-step checklist for updating Python
dependencies in a Konflux hermetic build environment:

1. Update pyproject.toml with new constraints
2. Regenerate uv.lock
3. Run scripts/konflux_resolve.py --profile cpu to regenerate
   .konflux/requirements*.txt files
4. Verify .tekton/*.yaml prefetch package lists
5. Check for dropped transitive dependencies
6. Run uv run make verify

Retro: PR #3065 — Document Konflux dependency update process in AGENTS.md

Workflow quality: excellent. This PR demonstrates the fullsend pipeline working end-to-end as intended: a retro of PR #3035 identified a documentation gap (undocumented multi-step Konflux dependency update process that caused 7 commits across 2 days and 3 failed PRs), filed issue #3063, which was triaged and coded autonomously, producing a well-scoped 32-line docs-only change. The review agent correctly identified the protected-path concern for AGENTS.md and required human approval. A human reviewer (tisnik) approved promptly.

Timeline: Issue #3063 created at 13:37 UTC → triage ($0.76) → code ($1.39) → PR #3065 opened at 13:49 → review agent started at 13:57 ($2.00, 10m18s, opus) → human approved at 14:01 → review completed at 14:09 → merged at 15:35. Total agent cost: ~$4.15.

Review agent performance: The review dispatched 10 sub-agents covering correctness, style, intent-coherence, docs-currency, and risk-assessment. Correctness sub-agent verified all referenced scripts, files, and CLI flags were accurate. Intent-coherence flagged a cosmetic mismatch (issue says CLAUDE.md, PR targets AGENTS.md) which was correctly dismissed by the challenger (CLAUDE.md is a symlink). Final verdict: comment with medium protected-path finding — appropriate for a governance file change.

Minor inefficiencies observed (all covered by existing issues):

Autonomy assessment: Inconclusive. The human reviewer approved with "LGTM" and no inline comments. Per autonomy-readiness guidelines, a silent approval does not provide evidence for or against expanding agent autonomy — the delta between agent and human findings cannot be meaningfully computed.

No new proposals. All identified inefficiencies are already tracked by existing open issues across fullsend-ai/fullsend and fullsend-ai/agents.
