I like to heavily zoom webpages and the top logo becomes blurry then (it is a .png).
I would like to replace it with its .svg counterpart but I have not found a version with text (I found old ones with text but they have been removed, I guess for a reason). I would have done it myself but I was not able to figure out which font has been used to generate the .png. Does anybody know the font or even has a readymade .svg version of the top logo with text?
I probably have somewhere, one where i used either fontforge or hb-view to convert the text glypfs of a font file
to svg... I recall I was too lazy to look proper copyright text to the final .svg at that time (some years ago)...
... I'll look it up...
right. that mklabing was the reason I dropped my efforts :D
If I had the same font (the same nunito), hb-view path/to/nunito.(ttf|otf) -O svg -o labwc-just-text.svg labwc
would produce quite similar text content (extra <g> inside <defs> and same glyph-0-1... names),
tried with some cantarell.otf font I had downloaded from somewhere...
So I tried the svg version and it looks much better I think. Do you refer to inconsistencies between browsers? I checked Firefox and and Chromium briefly and I could not see a difference (except of course that the svg version remains sharp independent of the zoom level).
Also when you zoom a lot and make the frame small the .png gets squeezed horizontally vs. the .svg shrinks to fit. But now I am talking about a really small frame and heavy zooming, a combination that does not make so much sense.
So I prefer the .svg but @johanmalm it is your baby here so you have the last say :)

I find that
svgimages render inconsistently which is why I opted for converting it topng. Appreciate guidance from anyone with domain knowledge.mxmxchere commentedon May 3, 2026
