Agents perform. Orchestrators conduct. The Intendant runs the house — and answers to the owner.

Intendant is an autonomous AI agent operating environment: it gives an agent a full desktop — shell, files, a graphical display it can see and control, voice, phone calls — under layered human oversight, and it supervises external coding agents (Codex, Claude Code) as managed backends.
Past the single box, it federates: fleets of daemons owned by people and organizations, granting each other scoped access to machines, infrastructure, and resources. Authority is only ever minted by the target daemon's local IAM; credentials are borrowed, time-boxed, and vault-sealed; the entire client is a browser tab. A disposable box's disk holds nothing worth stealing.
- Getting started — build, run, first task
- The trust architecture — anchor daemons, org keys, role ceilings
- Credential custody — leases, the vault, the egress relay
- Peer federation — daemons as equals, cross-machine displays
