What changed

  • OpenAPI Generator 7.12.0 → 7.26.0 for the Java v1 (javax / Jersey 2) SDK; still targets Java 8
  • Jackson 2.17.1 → 2.21.6, jackson-annotations 2.21 (#23105, #24460, #25046)
  • io.swagger:swagger-annotations is no longer a runtime dependency; the SDK never used it (#21426)
  • Gradle wrapper 8.7 → 8.14.5 (#24396)
  • Kept the public Configuration() constructor, which upstream made private (#20738)

Customer impact

Minor release (1.15.0), no breaking changes to the public API (checked with japicmp against 1.14.0).

Additive:

  • Configuration.setApiClientFactory(Supplier<ApiClient>) (#20738)
  • Nullability annotations on API method parameters (#20806)
  • @JsonProperty(required = ...) on model properties, labelling only (#21876)
  • Date-time parsing also accepts a space instead of T (RFC 3339) (#20700)
  • More ApiClient members are protected, so it can be extended (#21251)

Visible:

  • A custom ClientConfig set on ApiClient is no longer reset to defaults when the HTTP client is built (#20687)
  • Apps that used swagger-annotations through this SDK must now declare it themselves (#21426)
