Lead Software Engineer · I build Floci, free local cloud emulators for AWS, Azure & GCP.
Backend, distributed systems, and cloud-native software · 18+ years shipping production · 🇩🇴 → 🇺🇸
🚀 What I'm building · Floci
Floci runs real infrastructure locally, not mocks. Real Linux containers for EC2, k3s for EKS, Redpanda for MSK, actual Postgres and MySQL for RDS. Every emulator is a standalone native binary compiled with GraalVM, so it starts in ~24ms and idles around 13 MiB of RAM. No accounts, no auth tokens, no feature gates, no telemetry. MIT licensed and free forever.
If you develop against the cloud locally, Floci gives you the real thing without the bill or the gatekeeping.
| Project | Cloud | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| 🟠 floci | AWS | Drop-in replacement for LocalStack on port 4566, covering 47 services incl. S3, SQS, Lambda, DynamoDB, RDS. Switch over with zero code changes. |
| 🔵 floci-az | Azure | Port 4577: Blob, Queue, Table, Functions, App Config, Key Vault, Event Hubs, Service Bus at native speed. |
| 🟢 floci-gcp | GCP | Port 4588: GCS, Pub/Sub, Firestore, Datastore, Secret Manager, IAM, Managed Kafka. |
A unified floci-cli controls every emulator from one tool, and floci-ui gives you a visual dashboard across all three clouds.

Floci and everything around it are free, MIT licensed, and built in the open, and always will be: no paywalls, no gated services, no telemetry. If it has saved you or your team time or cloud spend, a sponsorship helps me keep shipping: infrastructure, development time, and new emulated services. Sponsorship keeps Floci independent and bootstrapped, not venture-backed.
Back the Floci project directly, or support me personally. Either way, thank you for keeping open source sustainable.
