What help can I give with the XG-99C?
I have a unit and I'd like to achieve SSH to it. I think I've identified the serial pins but the ground doesn't align with the UART I have and I'm afraid connecting the wrong pins to the UART would short something.

    Regarding "Add Cigtech G-95SP":

It is currently only mentioned in the "Miscellaneous Links" of the CIG G-97SP. Is that intended? I would guess that the 95SP is a different model than the 97SP.

Per this forum post and these two videos from @tomazzaman it is also marketed as "AVM GmbH (G-95SP)" and there is a way to configure it via a binary protocol on TCP 192.168.47.1:8888 which would allow using it with other hardware than the FritzBox and with an ISP that demands a certain serial number.

Photo of AVM GmbH (G-95SP) SFP module

If I got the OCR correct from the video, the payload in that specific instance was:

    41564d00000007000400000001
    41564d000000030000
    41564d000200120000

    41564d001400140000

    Which translates to:

    "AVM" ^@^@^@^G^@^D^@^@^@^A
    "AVM" ^@^@^@^C^@^@
    "AVM" ^@^B^@^R^@^@
    "AVM" ^F^D^@^K^@^D^@^@^@^A

    "AVM" ^@^J^@^P^@^M "07.12_1.3.26" ^@ # unclear. firmware version in video is 07.12-71662
    "AVM" ^@^L^@^L^@^@

    "AVM" ^@^R^@^M^@^@
    "AVM" ^@^T^@^T^@^@

I don't have any further info on the protocol. Maybe @tomazzaman has some insights? Would be interesting to see how much it differs on a different FritzBox device and/or ISP. I don't have one here to play around with, but if you own one you can follow the instructions from the video above to get the pcap from FritzBox.

CIG G-97SP is the last Cigtech SFP with realteck board
CIG G-95SP is the old Cigtech SFP with lantiq board

    Cool other SFP
