Why are the REST services still v6 in the Flowable v7 and v8 releases? #4173
I'm not understand the title of this ticket and what the bug is that you are reporting. Can you elaborate a bit more on what you think is incorrect?
The API base path is misconfigured in Swagger, leading to a mismatch with the actual service URL。
The actual accessible URL is http://localhost:8080/flowable-rest/process-api/repository/deployments
I investigated the reported Swagger base-path mismatch a bit further. There seems to be an important inconsistency that may explain the issue.
In the current Spring Boot configuration, the default Process REST servlet path is /process-api. However, flowable-app-rest explicitly overrides this to /service, while its Swagger Maven configuration also uses /flowable-rest/service as the base path.
This is also consistent with the current REST documentation and examples, and /service has historical roots in the Flowable/Activiti REST application.
At the same time, Andy reports that the actual accessible URL in his setup is:
/flowable-rest/process-api/repository/deployments
So before changing the Swagger base path, I think we need to clarify which URL is actually intended for flowable-app-rest in Flowable 7/8:
--Should the application continue to use /flowable-rest/service?
--Or was /flowable-rest/process-api intended to replace it, making the current application configuration and Swagger definition outdated?
If /flowable-rest/process-api is the intended URL, I can investigate the required configuration, Swagger/OpenAPI and documentation changes and prepare a PR.
