From the second workshop: the browser terminal is choppy, and localhost sign-in callbacks fail there. The guide now recommends opening the Codespace in VS Code Desktop when the attendee can install it (privacy unchanged: Claude and the app still run in the Codespace), keeps the browser as the fallback, adjusts the Claude and Neon sign-in notes, and adds gh codespace ssh as an option. Not yet run end to end in VS Code Desktop with this template; the Claude-tab note says the tab may work there.

The browser Codespace terminal is choppy, and both Claude's and
Neon's sign-ins send a localhost callback that a browser tab can't
receive, so attendees retried or fell back to an API key. VS Code
Desktop connected to the Codespace has a native terminal and
forwards ports, while Claude and the app still run in the
Codespace, so attendees who chose Codespaces for privacy keep it.
The browser stays the fallback, and gh codespace ssh is noted for
people who prefer a plain terminal.
