Events can now carry a deployment environment such as production, staging, or development. Users can filter Events, Stacks, Sessions, and Stream by environment and save those selections in views and URLs. The same error stays in one stack with shared status and fixed-version behavior.

  • Adds the optional environment field to JSON and GET event submissions, index mappings and migration, event details/table columns, webhook and MCP projections, and free-plan search/aggregation support.
  • Preserves the supplied casing after trimming; search is case-insensitive and aggregation keys are normalized. Treats historical events as Unspecified and keeps data.@environment as machine/runtime diagnostics. Automatic sessions remain separate across environments.
  • Includes SDK configuration and rollout documentation. Deploy the server before adopting the new SDK settings.

Validation: the full API CI suite passed, including ingestion, mappings, filtering/counts, fixed versions, sessions, webhooks, MCP, and OpenAPI contracts. Frontend validation, focused unit tests, and the full browser CI suite passed. GET submission and grouped-filter regressions also passed locally. No breaking API changes.

Related PRs: Exceptionless.Net #371, Exceptionless.JavaScript #193.
