Version bumps for Updates_20261001. The ten procs in the combined installer move to .10, with version date 20261001.

Proc Version
sp_HealthParser 3.10
sp_HumanEvents 7.10
sp_HumanEventsBlockViewer 5.10
sp_IndexCleanup 2.10
sp_LogHunter 3.10
sp_PerfCheck 2.10
sp_PressureDetector 6.10
sp_QueryReproBuilder 1.10
sp_QuickieCache 1.10
sp_QuickieStore 6.10
sp_QueryStoreCleanup 1.10 (was 1.6)

sp_QueryStoreCleanup is not in the combined installer. It moved with the other procs until the May release. After that it stayed at 1.6, because its code did not change. In this cycle, 15 commits changed it. They added @sort_direction, @compact_tables, the summary report, and the binary-collation text search, and they changed how PSP parent queries are removed. So it moves to 1.10 with the other procs.

ProtectSession and TestBackupPerformance did not change, so they keep their versions.

Two version lines change in each file, 22 lines in total.

Style audit

Three read-only reviewers checked every line that this cycle added to the ten changed procs against the style guide. A scan of the same lines found no tabs, EXEC, int, CAST, COUNT(, @@ROWCOUNT, (MAX), bare TOP, or -- comments.

The second commit fixes the one finding that needed a change. Three new multi-line comments started their text on the /* line: one in sp_QuickieCache and two in sp_HumanEventsBlockViewer. Their delimiters are now on their own lines, and the text is unchanged.

These findings stay as they are, because they match conventions that the files already use:

  • The one-line IF @debug = 1 BEGIN RAISERROR ... END; inside dynamic SQL. The same form was already in the code 90 times, for example 64 times in sp_HumanEvents.
  • The indent of the string arguments of two new REPLACE calls in sp_HealthParser. The other ten REPLACE calls in that file use the same indent.

The ten combined-install procs move to .10, and sp_QueryStoreCleanup
moves from 1.6 to 1.10 because it changed this cycle. Version date
20261001 for all eleven.

Review: Updates_20261001 version bumps

The changes look good. I found nothing to flag.

  • Only the @version and @version_date lines change: 11 files, 22 lines, matching the PR description.
  • Each version matches the table in the PR body, and every date is 20261001.
  • sp_QueryStoreCleanup goes from 1.6 to 1.10, as the description explains.
  • Install-All/DarlingData.sql is not edited directly, so CI can regenerate it.
  • The PR comes from the maintainer (erikdarlingdata), so the version bump is allowed.

I only read the diff. I didn't run any SQL.

Release style audit: the comment on @find_duplicate_plans' date filter
in sp_QuickieCache, and the APPLY comment at both sp_HumanEventsBlockViewer
sites, started their text on the /* line. The text is unchanged.

Review: Updates_20261001 version bumps (updated for the new commit)

The changes look good. I found nothing to flag.

  • Version lines: every file changes @version and @version_date to the values in the PR table, with the date 20261001.
  • New commit (0248193): it only reformats four multi-line comments. Two are in sp_HumanEventsBlockViewer.sql and one is in sp_QuickieCache.sql. The /* and */ delimiters now sit on their own lines. The comment text and the code are the same.
  • PR description: "Two lines change in each file, 22 lines in total" is no longer accurate. That commit adds 6 lines to sp_HumanEventsBlockViewer.sql (+18/-14) and 2 to sp_QuickieCache.sql (+7/-5). The diff totals +43/-37. You may want to update the description.
  • Installer: Install-All/DarlingData.sql is not edited, so CI can regenerate it.
  • Author: the PR is from the maintainer, so the version bump is allowed.

I only read the diff. I didn't run any SQL.
