You can use webhooks to cause an action in another service in response to a push event in the repository. Webhooks are POST requests sent to a URL you define in Docker Hub.

## Prerequisites

For a personal repository, only the repository owner can create webhooks.
Collaborators can't create webhooks.

For an organization repository, you must be an organization owner or editor,
or a team member with admin permissions on the repository. For more details,
see [Organization teams](/manuals/docker-hub/repos/manage/access.md#organization-teams).

To create a webhook using the Docker Hub API, authenticate with one of the
following:

- A [personal access token](/manuals/security/access-tokens/personal-access-tokens.md)
with delete permissions
- An [organization access token](/manuals/security/access-tokens/organization-access-tokens.md)
with the `scope-webhook-edit` scope or higher
