Summary

Translating a post translated only its body. The link preview card under it stayed in the original language, so a translated German post still showed a German title and description (see the LinkedIn card under a German post). Now the card's title and description are translated with the post, and "Show original" restores both.

Changes

• LinkPreviewTranslator agent (same provider, model and untrusted-input rules as CommitTranslator) translates a preview's title and description, sent as JSON.
• Preview translations are cached by preview content (sha256(title \0 description)), so every post linking the same page shares one, and a preview whose page changes is translated again. Same 7-day TTL and lock pattern as post translations.
• CreateCommitTranslation translates the preview after the body when a target language is given. A failed preview translation is reported and does not fail the post translation.
• When a post is shown translated but its preview translation is missing (post translated before this change, before its link was unfurled, or a preview translation failed), CommitTranslations::display() queues TranslateLinkPreview on the translations queue, the same way language detection is queued. Unique per preview and language; same tries/backoff/timeout as DetectCommitLanguage.
• Only fetched previews with a title are translated. A blank translated description is rejected when the original has one.
• translation.link_preview ({title, description} | null) is added to the web and API translation payloads (additive). The web overlays it on the card while the translated body is shown.

Validation

Local:

• php artisan test --compact on CommitTranslationControllerTest, Api/CommitTranslationControllerTest, ModerationControllerTest: 83 passed (9 new tests: shared preview translation, failure isolation, untranslatable previews, later-request path, background catch-up, no queueing when not translated, blank description).
• Full suite (--parallel): only CommitScriptTest fails (19); identical failures on production locally, caused by the local http:// APP_URL.
• composer lint, bun run lint, tsc --noEmit, PHPStan on app/: clean.

Hosted CI: pending.

Visual evidence

Same seeded post (German body, German link card) on production and this branch. Desktop, 1280px viewport at 2x, dark theme, Chrome via agent-browser. Translations were seeded in the cache in the exact shape the action stores, as no provider key is configured locally; the provider call itself is covered by the tests.

• Not tested against the real model; not checked on the LinkEmbed (video/audio embed) variant, which uses the same title field.
