Introductory Task #9

Description

Hello, welcome to the tech team! First, ensure you have setup your developer environment by following the steps detailed in the onboarding document. To get oriented with this project please complete the following steps below:

• Create a sub-issue attached to this ticket, name it "<Your Username> - Onboarding"
• Fill in the appropriate fields and assign the ticket to yourself.
• Open your local clone of the repository in your code editor of choice
• From the root of the project folder, run git status ensure you are on the main branch
• Update your main branch (git pull or git fetch origin main)
• Run the local web server cd web && pnpm run dev
• Click on the link provided in the terminal and ensure you can see the text The visualizer goes here.
• Close the process in terminal with Ctrl + C
• Create a new branch called <username>-onboarding (git checkout -b <username>-onboarding)
• Navigate to tests/test_introduction.py and complete the instructions there
• Add and commit your changes (git add tests/test_introduction.py then git commit -m "I completed onboarding")
• Push your changes (git push)
• Navigate to github and create a pull request off of your branch
• Fill in the description and link the project on the right sidebar, then create pull request
• Under development, link your sub-ticket to your pull request
• Ensure CI passes and fix any errors (you should see three green checkmarks)
• Add me as a reviewer and wait for your pull request to get approved
• If your request is approved, squash merge your changes and close your sub-issue.
