This PR proposes go.opentelemetry.io/otel v1.41.0. PR #92 at 97b940310f7e2dddcc11dc288254ad61bd3da1dd contains v1.44.0 in both its module requirements and vendor inventory. This proposal changes only go.mod, go.sum, and vendored dependencies; no separate application change is being discarded.

The coordinated update in #92 is the delivery path. It is still unmerged and awaits its security review and independent final assessment. Issue #100 remains open and tracks the unfinished security baseline. Closing this duplicate does not resolve any vulnerability alert on main.

The maintainer will reconsider this update under #100 if #92 is abandoned or drops the relevant dependency. No branch deletion is requested.
