pip wheel --no-deps -w dist nanobind gives an abi3 wheel for Python >= 3.12 via scikit-build-core.

  • nanobind/pyproject.toml (scikit-build-core, name boost-math, version 0.0.1) and install rules for boost/math.
  • STABLE_ABI, with Development.SABIModule requested so the module really is _ext.abi3.so; one wheel covers 3.12+.
  • The plain CMake dev build is unchanged; under scikit-build-core nanobind comes from the build environment.

Requires Python >= 3.12. Checked on macOS arm64 (MACOSX_DEPLOYMENT_TARGET=11.0): boost_math-0.0.1-cp312-abi3-macosx_11_0_arm64.whl, 3.2 MB; the one wheel passes all 449 nanobind tests from fresh venvs on Python 3.12.7, 3.13.0 and 3.15.2.

Not yet: other platforms (cibuildwheel), sdists (the build reads ../include), a LICENSE file in the wheel, and whether boost.math.ulps is included depends on finding Boost.Multiprecision and Boost.Config checked out alongside. Nothing is published.
