Why

A patch release for the CLI changes since v1.29.0:

There's no Kates API or tester/ change, so the images are rebuilt only to carry the version.

What changes

The pins move to 1.29.1, as in #448:

  • kates chart (0.13.2): appVersion, the JVM and native image tags, and the README.
  • kates/k8s/deployment.yaml.
  • kates-tester pins: strimzi-operator 0.4.2, kafka-cluster 1.0.14, connect-cluster 2.1.12, mirror-maker2 0.11.10 and kates-chaos 2.3.2, each with a change entry, plus the 12 Litmus experiment pins.
  • Docs: the registry docs, the runbook, Recipe 7's KATES_VERSION, the README chart table and the book's version matrix.

Tests

  • check-versions.sh, gen-chart-table.sh --check and gen-version-matrix.sh --check pass. They ran in a scratch copy without the stray local charts/minio.
  • check-book-style.sh passes.
  • helm lint passes on kates, kates-chaos and strimzi-operator. kafka-cluster, connect-cluster and mirror-maker2 need their dependencies built first, so CI lints them.

After merge: an annotated v1.29.1 tag on the merge commit.

Image and kates-tester pins move to 1.29.1: the kates chart (0.13.2, appVersion, image tags, README), kates/k8s/deployment.yaml, the four Strimzi charts (strimzi-operator 0.4.2, kafka-cluster 1.0.14, connect-cluster 2.1.12, mirror-maker2 0.11.10) and kates-chaos 2.3.2, each with a change entry, the 12 Litmus experiment pins, the registry docs and runbook, Recipe 7's KATES_VERSION, the README chart table and the book's version matrix. Nothing under tester/ moved since 1.29.0.
