Add dnsmasq.query.duration, a histogram of the time from a query arriving to its reply being sent, by whether dnsmasq answered (local) or waited for an upstream server (upstream, retries included). It has its own buckets, from 0.02 ms, as the SDK's defaults start at 5 ms. Local answers are sent from receive_query and, for --address and errors, from forward_query, so both are hooked. The requesters waiting for a server are told apart by the address of their frec_src, in a small table in glue.c: patching dnsmasq.h would give the unpatched sources another layout. Export metrics every second by default: the collector is on the same machine and batches for the backend. Assisted-by: Claude Sonnet 5.5
