fix(ui): polish desktop and mobile layouts and simplify copy - #93
Conversation
On phones a segmented filter shares its row with the filter button instead of wrapping alone, unset values drop out of stacked cards, copyable IDs keep their touch target without the extra line height, and the current section pill scrolls into view. Overview numbers share a baseline with their sections two per row, FAQ questions wrap, category pills run to the screen edges, project links truncate, and the user header stacks its meta without a dangling separator. Chip lists size their fit from the text the chip actually shows.

- Line 135: Update the useLayoutEffect positioning logic to also respond when
the nav becomes visible below the 760px breakpoint, such as by observing nav
size or breakpoint changes; do not rely only on match.kind changes. Reposition
the current pill after visibility changes and clean up any observer or listener.

- Improve mobile toolbar, table card and section navigation layouts - Refine labels, counts and dashboard copy
Observe the mobile section bar size so its active pill stays visible when the bar appears or narrows. Disconnect the observer on cleanup and cover resize, font loading and cleanup behavior with regression tests. Document the affected overview and FAQ components.
Improve dashboard layouts on phones and intermediate desktop widths, and simplify separators and metadata across the interface. Mobile filters stay together, empty values no longer leave stray dashes in cards, and switching sections keeps the active navigation pill visible.
Changes
docs/design.mdreflects the updated layout and copy rules.Verification
pnpm check, pnpm typecheck, pnpm test, andpnpm buildpass: 42 tests passing, 3 opt-in integration tests skipped, and 25 existing lint warnings. Regression tests cover desktop-to-mobile visibility, further narrowing, font loading, and observer cleanup. A focused browser reproduction confirms the active pill stays visible when resizing from 1440px to 390px and then 320px.Earlier visual checks covered desktop and 390px mobile layouts in light and dark mode, including Overview, Telegram groups/grants/user, Microsoft 365 groups/members, Projects, FAQs, Labels, Freshman guide, Reports, and the New grant sheet.
