👋 Jules, reporting for duty! I'm here to lend a hand with this pull request. When you start a review, I'll add a 👀 emoji to each comment to let you know I've read it. If your team needs uninterrupted high-volume reviews, an organization admin can enable usage-based reviews. How do review limits work?CodeRabbit enforces per-developer PR review limits for each organization. Most developers receive the normal plan review availability. For paid Pro and Pro+ PR reviews, CodeRabbit uses adaptive limits for sustained high-volume activity. When a developer's recent PR review activity reaches the 95th percentile or higher among CodeRabbit users, additional reviews become available more gradually as earlier reviews age out of the rolling window. RCA/feasibility: closing unmerged as an overlapping maintainability-only refactor. Active PR #790 owns |
Understood. Acknowledging that this work is now obsolete and stopping work on this task. |
🎯 What: Extracted the nested try-except block that verifies the downloaded uv executable version into a separate helper function _verify_trusted_uv.
💡 Why: This refactoring simplifies the _install_trusted_uv function, reducing its cyclomatic complexity, nesting depth, and overall length. This improves the readability and maintainability of the codebase by adhering to the single responsibility principle.
✅ Verification: Ran python3 -m coverage run -m pytest tests/test_materialize_base_python_requirements.py && python3 -m coverage report -m to confirm no functionality was broken and coverage remained intact. Also ran python3 -m interrogate scripts/ci/materialize_base_python_requirements.py to ensure docstrings were preserved.
✨ Result: A cleaner, more modular _install_trusted_uv function that is easier to read and maintain, without altering any existing behavior.
