Description

Prepare the Azure CLI release branch for the Cosmos DB 2026-07-15 stable ARM API by pinning the exact-head candidate Python SDK in all four required dependency files.

This PR is intentionally SDK-version-only. Selected feature changes are delivered as separate PRs into this branch, following the same version-base plus feature-integration topology as the API specification release.

Provenance

  • API specification PR: Add 2026-07-15 stable API version for Cosmos DB azure-rest-api-specs#45986
  • Exact specification head: 394b7f3b35e187c9a5825b370102a033ca34d5ed
  • Candidate package: azure-mgmt-cosmosdb==10.1.0b1
  • Candidate wheel: azure_mgmt_cosmosdb-10.1.0b1-py3-none-any.whl
  • Candidate wheel SHA-256: 01c7f96fd8f5616be8280c2a04447f1b532c90dac0c664b1b5ea317be3008f39
  • Frozen Azure CLI base: a6c10e0868e88141a38137627c465f9326faf5c4

The wheel was regenerated from the pinned tsp-location.yaml, imports as 10.1.0b1, defaults to API 2026-07-15, and serializes the selected PPAF, backup retention lock, and throughput bucket properties.

Integration PRs

Before merge

  • Publish azure-mgmt-cosmosdb==10.1.0b1 to the package source used by Azure CLI CI, or replace it with the final released stable package.
  • Merge the three selected feature PRs into this branch.
  • Run native Azure CLI regression/style/linter validation with the candidate wheel.
  • Record and validate the selected feature scenarios.

No live test recordings are included or claimed yet.

  • The PR title and description follow the Azure CLI contribution guidelines.
  • I adhere to the Command Guidelines.
  • I adhere to the Error Handling Guidelines.
