Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
When Amazon Q Developer is deprecated, the plugin will no longer be available as well. This will result in eclipse having lost support for AI in-place replacement and AI suggestions. Leaving really only one plugin left for the entire echosystem that will do this (Github Copilot).
Describe the solution you'd like
Open-sourcing the the Amazon Q Developer plugin for eclipse in part or full cat give others a chance to build upon the codebase and create new plugins that and wire in API support for supported AI tool Apis (iros, Claude, etc).
Describe alternatives you've considered
Like stated above, the only alternative is to build plugins from scratch or use the only stable and working solution (for as long it is continued to be supported, Github Copilot).
It was just a thought of mine as we head toward the shutdown of Amazon Q.
Side note question: Any information on of the Github code review feature will also get shut down? Doesn't seem to be any info about that and the feature is still in preview.
Thanks!
