- Update the reference PM_VDM_TYPE handling to only program and trigger the PMReq(D3hot) VDM, then wait for the platform timeout before returning. - This avoids polling the exerciser PM VDM control register after the D3hot request is issued. Once the function transitions toward D3hot, BAR0 MMIO accesses may no longer be accepted, so post-trigger reads of PM_VDM_CTLR can cause an exception. - The PMCSR state transition is still validated by the CXL_05/e044 test after val_exerciser_set_param() returns.
