i am on linux debian 4 and want to build this project. i cant because the only configuration tool i have access to is autotools.

creating Makefile.am and a configure script to build this.
Describe alternatives you've considered
updating my operating system. not feasable because the package sources to update form debian 4 dont exist on two mirrors, both are blocked in my country.

autotools is a GNU configuration tool.
