From f4f96be91cccc4434fa8fd7628d6caaa81d8512b Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Andre van Zuydam Date: Mon, 26 Oct 2026 12:00:40 +0200 Subject: [PATCH] ci(test): pin the test job to ubuntu-24.04 (mongo:8 crashes on 26.04) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit The `ubuntu-latest` runner migrated to Ubuntu 26.04 (rollout from 2026-10-19), and on 26.04 the mongo:8 single-node replica set exits on startup — its `docker run mongo:8 mongod --replSet ...` container is gone before the ping loop, so the step fails with "container is not running". mongo:8 currently resolves to 8.3.x (a rapid release); the mongo:7 service container and every other job are unaffected. This gate was last green on 24.04 (2026-10-23, #255), so pin the test job there to restore it. The forward fix — making mongo:8 start on 26.04, pinning mongo to the 8.0 LTS line — is a follow-up.
