v1.12.0 broke BLE on the T-Echo

Hi!

I noticed my T-Echo works perfectly fine over BLE on versions prior to version 1.12.0, but now (on the latest version) has the problem in the video attached. This makes the device unusable over BLE. This is the behavior happening on latest mobile app, right after dismissing the awesome new setup wizard on a fresh flash.

Same behavior versions 1.12-1.16

Any fixes?

did you try to:

1. erase the board via flash erase uf2 file?
2. unpair the board from system bluetooth?
3. can you try if ZephCore works on the board? -https://github.com/liquidraver/ZephCore/releases/download/v20260613.205222/lilygo_techo-companion-9d4fed9.uf2

2. Yup, even tried multiple phones

does the same happen with meshtastic? if yes, this might be a hardware issue. my t-echo works with 1.16.0 without any problem

It does not appear to be a hardware issue. Meshtastic and Meshcore versions prior to 1.12.0 (which rewrote the BLE code) works fine.
