Problem description

The documentation pages "Use volumes" (storage/volumes.md) and "Use bind mounts" (storage/bind-mounts.md) both have a section "Choose the -v or --mount flag". However their content differs, this is confusing because:

• They contain different (incomplete) information
• They contain in parts duplicate information

Suggestions for a fix

Ideally avoid duplication and only have a single (complete) page for this information to which "Use volumes" and "Use bind mounts" then can refer.

Partially addressed, but I don't think it's closable as-is.

What's fixed: the "Choose the -v or --mount flag" section is gone from both
pages — the string doesn't appear anywhere in content/ today, so the anchors
linked above no longer resolve. (The page URLs still work; they 301 to
/engine/storage/....) That happened in #21420. Both pages now use the same
## Syntax → ### Options for --mount / ### Options for --volume structure,
and the guidance that used to differ is now worded identically on both:

In general, --mount is preferred. The main difference is that the --mount
flag is more explicit and supports all the available options.

What isn't: the fix you suggested was a single page for this information
that both pages refer to. That page doesn't exist, and the duplication is now
wider than when you filed this — the shared text is copy-pasted verbatim rather
than consolidated:

• "The --mount flag consists of multiple key-value pairs, separated by commas
  and each consisting of a <key>=<value> tuple. The order of the keys isn't
  significant." — identical on volumes.md, bind-mounts.md, tmpfs.md, and
  image-mounts.md
• "The --volume or -v flag consists of three fields, separated by colon
  characters (:). The fields must be in the correct order." — identical on
  volumes.md and bind-mounts.md

There's also one leftover inconsistency of the original kind: volumes.md and
bind-mounts.md say --mount "supports all the available options", while
tmpfs.md says --tmpfs "gives you more flexibility as it lets you set more
mount options".

So the specific confusing section is gone, but the underlying duplication
request is still open. Might be worth deciding whether to narrow this issue to
the remaining duplication or close it as superseded — a maintainer call.
