I'd also like a way to more easily find this, so I can keep track of which Herd URLs or iOS Simulator windows are for which workspaces. Unless it can just also update other instances of the name when it does the initial rename.
In the meantime, I find clicking the "Terminal" button in the status bar is the quickest way to find the orig name, as it'll open a terminal and show the dir name:

Bug description
When using external browser, it can be hard to track which unique string (ie
dusty-lobster) is which workspace.Initially it shows in the sidebar until the name is changed, but I think it should persist below the new name
