This app used to be called PSF-Chronographer within GitHub UI due to historic plans that never happened and it ended up being renamed for the time being.

What does it do?

  • Checks whether every PR has a Towncrier change fragment committed along with the main change
  • Reports this info back to GitHub via Checks API. (Checks tab on PR page)
  • Repository maintainers may choose to enforce this check in their branch protection rules
