title OpenIntro Companion Activities
description This is a homepage for a collection of interactive, browser-based activities to accompany an introductory level applied statistics course. The activities supplement the OpenIntro Statistics textbook from the folks at OpenIntro.org. Currently, the activities are written to leverage the R computing language. Additional versions which leverage Excel/Google Sheets and Python are forthcoming.

You'll find a growing list of Quarto-Live browser-based, interactive activities in the sections below. Currently, the collecton of activities covers a full introductory experience in applied statistics. Versions of all notebooks utilizing the R computing language are available, with corresponding versions in Excel/Sheets and Python forthcoming.

Click here if you're looking for the original versions of the companion notebooks from my {AppliedStatsInteractive} R package.

These resources are open-sourced and will always remain freely available. If you are benefiting from using these activities and would like to support the their maintenance as well as the development of similar resources across mathematics and statistics in the future, you may donate via the link below.

Old Versions

If you're looking for the older versions of the interactive notebooks that are installed via the {AppliedStatsInteractive} R package or accessed via Posit Cloud, they're still available! Here are the instructions for installing R, RStudio, and the companion notebooks package for individuals interested in working with R locally. For those wishing to work in Posit Cloud, here's a link to the workspace.

Because the Quarto Live versions accessed via the links above are accessible to a broader audience, my focus will be on maintaining and updating those moving forward. While I'll no longer be actively updating the notebooks in {AppliedStatsInteractive}, you are free to clone the GitHub repository and update your own versions as you see fit.
