However, when actually writing an address (at least in the US), it's usually written as

Being able to edit the address formatting and change what order the fields are shown in would be very helpful. At the very least, having and be on different lines would make things more readable.

Why do you want this feature?

I often send people mail, and I save people's mailing addresses in my contacts app. However, when I am writing their address, sometimes I make a mistake and put the postal code first, since that is the way it is displayed in the app. Having the address displayed in the order that it's most commonly used would be very helpful.
